Cell2Get announced on Tuesday that it would have the new Palm Pre mobile phone on sale starting June 6, 2009. The company, one of the four largest handset retailers in the United States, also stated that the device would be offered without a contract, yet the price tag that the device will feature with the retailer hasn't been unveiled until now.

As many of you might already know, the Palm Pre will start selling on June 6 across the United States through the stores of wireless carrier Sprint, which will have the handset exclusively throughout 2009. The device, which is seen as the latest advancement in the touch-screen cell phone area, will also become available through a series of retailers in the country, including Best Buy and now Cell2Get.

Being one of the largest retailers in the US, Cell2Get offers great discount prices and a wide selection of cell phones without contract agreements, and now it will also add the Palm Pre, one of the most anticipated devices of the ongoing year.

There are not too many things that haven't been said about the Palm Pre, and most of you are already familiar with the fact that it comes with an impressive search engine integration, a responsive screen, emailing, text messaging, and web browsing capabilities, not to mention its multitasking functionality or the connectivity options.

One thing that should be mentioned though is the fact that the Pre will come to the market via a lot of channels, which means that there should be enough units available to meet demand, although both Sprint and Palm expressed their fears that the phone was likely to see shortage at launch. For what it's worth, the device could sell out soon after launch, yet things might not be as bad as one would be tempted to believe. The following few weeks should show us how things really are.
