Baroque is a dungeon-crawling action RPG that is already enjoyed by the Japanese gamers and which has been announced to be released in the North America, too. With a release date set to February 2008, Baroque will hit the the PS2 and Nintendo Wii consoles only.

The story of the game is pretty simple and yet strange. The world is devastated, affected by a cataclysm that distorts both the world and the laws of nature. That's the place where our hero awakens, with a heart filled with guilt and feeling like he's living a nightmare. He will have no other option than entering a strange tower - the Neuro Tower - and trying to save himself... and the world.

An interesting thing to know about this Neuro Tower is the fact that its inner structure is constantly changing. So if you hoped to "learn" the secrets and best places in the tower (where all the game's action happens), you were wrong - it's just reflexes, skills and your best weapon, those who can save you.

As this game is an action RPG where the player will be dungeon-crawling all the time, the monsters should be hideous and dangerous. Well... they just seem like some peaceful little cartoon characters with their big smiles and long arms. But... it's a T rated video game, and teens just hate frightening, raw, bloodthirsty monsters, right?

Monsters apart, Baroque brings a totally awesome feature related to the story line: death doesn't mean "game over". Actually, your character's death only serves to drive the adventure forward, because each time the character dies, more secrets about the world will be revealed. I can already see gamers screaming: "Oh, my God! Help! I haven't died for 10 whole minutes!"

So, if you already want to enter an ever changing world to fight monsters and save the world, you will be able to do it if you own a PS2 or Wii console. And Baroque, of course. But for that you'll have to wait until February 2008.
