Garrett Hedlund, the 26-year-old actor playing Sam Flynn in Disney’s upcoming 3D film “Tron: Legacy,” is in the latest issue of 2 Magazine

, speaking about the part that will make of him an international superstar.

Garrett is often compared to Australian Sam Worthington, who also got his big break in Hollywood with the biggest blockbuster of all times, James Cameron’s “Avatar.”

Just like Worthington, Garrett too is very modest – while also extremely appreciative of the chance offered to him. Not only is “Tron” a good movie, but it also has a lot of live up to, which makes choosing a relative newcomer (like him) all the more daring.

Speaking with 2, Garrett promises that, at least as far as action scenes go, “Tron” will not disappoint once it arrives in theaters on December 17.

“Yes, the film was filled with action. Between parkour, capoeira and the motorcycle riding, it’s one action-packed sequence to another. The wire works and doing the stunts was physically very demanding,” the actor reveals.

Of course, having to work with Olivia Wilde from the hit series “House M.D.” and arguably one of the most gorgeous women in the world, surely helped with the task at hand.

“Being on that journey with Olivia (Wilde) was a great experience. I’d be dropping 40 feet from a wire rig as she was doing spin kicks in heels. We were in it together,” Garrett admits.

Aside from the physically demanding stunts, the duo also had to adjust to the costumes which, no matter how light they may appear onscreen, were quite uncomfortable at times.

“It’s not easy at the start, but like anything else, you kind of get used to it. But being able to wear these suits was such a thrill,” the actor says.

“They were the first of their kind and the technology that was put into them was fantastic. I loved the privilege of being able to wear them,” the actor adds with quite fetching modesty.

A new official trailer for “Tron: Legacy” was released hours ago, as we also informed you today. The film opens in US theaters on December 17, just in time for the holiday season.
