As the release of Rockstar's highly anticipated third-person shooter, Grand Theft Auto IV, approaches (don't get all excited, it's still on for an October 2007 release), the developer tries as much as it can to keep fans updated with what they know at a given time, that will be featured in the game. This week, courtesy of MaxConsole.net, which managed to snatch the latest issue of the British games magazine, Games TM, GTA fans worldwide have been informed that there are no more, no less than 7 pages dedicated exclusively to the game.

Originally posted by MaxConxole.net: "British games magazine Games TM has a 7 page long exclusive on GTA IV and includes new details on gameplay and includes some new information on the title. Some of the best nuggests of information include - the cell as seen in trailer is a big part of the game, instead of buying weapons from Ammu-Nation, you can call a caribbean weapon dealer, there is a new menswear store, the internet cafe from GTA III is back and you can surf the internet from every computer in game, you will be able to use taxis to get around and of course every crime you commit increases the wanted level."

I don't think it's necessary for me to comment on the image to the upper left side of the article (click to enlarge), as everything there just screams GTA. One great piece of information I noticed though, was that Niko Belic's cell phone will play a crucial role in the game. Not as in 'it's the key to some door or an explosives detonator' (or who knows...?), but as in 'a real-life functional mobile phone'. Browsing through your text messages or contacting the right person at the right time is said to improve the gameplay experience.

Of course, no one will know for sure how good of a gameplay experience it will be until the game's released, but from the looks of it, it stands no chance of being bad.
