Quite a unique proposal

Gamers aren't regarded by the general media as romantics because their competitive nature and will to win every game make them look like people with no social life or the ability to be romantic and care for someone else. However, when you have a game that brings creativity to new heights, like LittleBigPlanet, these two quite opposite notions can come together and produce a very interesting result.

Such was the case with gamer Jed05, who thought of proposing to his girlfriend in a quite innovative way, namely by creating a special LBP level in which his request was made. Although the idea seemed completely strange at first, the reaction of his girlfriend, who was surprised by it, was really nice. Here's his comment on his special romantic creation: "I’ve been wanting to do something creative to ask her to marry me, and what a better way then Little Big Planet! I know the last part of the level may not be that exciting, but I have a fiancee now!"

It's really nice that even gamers can think of innovative ways to look at their favorite pastime. We've seen some very interesting creations during this beta stage of LBP and it's great to hear that all of them will be shipped with the retail edition, which is due to hit the shelves starting October 21. In case you are interested in this particular level, it is entitled "Love and Marriage" under the user DimmuJed.

For those of you who don't know, LBP is a platformer puzzle game developed by Media Molecule and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe exclusively for the PlayStation 3. It has been in an online beta stage for a few weeks with users getting the keys for this version via carefully chosen websites. It promises to bring you a completely customizable world in which you can create your own levels for your own pleasure or you can share them on the PlayStation Network for others to see and play through.

Here's the video of this really romantic level:
