In an effort to test the game servers

As we said on previous occasions, LittleBigPlanet is one of the most anticipated games for the PlayStation 3, and with all the hype going around, the little time left until its launch seems like an eternity for the fans.

In order to ensure that everything will run smoothly when the game launches, Sony wanted to test the dedicated servers that were set up especially for this title, and what better way to do that than by giving away 25,000 beta keys to the eager fans. This comes in confirmation of the fact that David Smith, president of the studio developing the title, Media Molecule, wanted to create a beta stage of the game, where players would help in improving the final aspects.

As a token of appreciation for the Internet sites that showed support during the development of this hugely anticipated game, Sony offered them these invitations. Although these keys are only for the beta version of the game, which offers the players the ability to log on to a multiplayer server and test a few of the options, demand is very high, with users desperately seeking the websites that will offer the precious invitations.

For those of you who don't know, LBP is exclusively developed for the PlayStation 3 with Sony heavily promoting it, and it is a puzzle platformer game that allows players to create their own characters, levels and worlds. They will control a Sackboy or Sackgirl, both of which can almost completely manipulate the environments around them. One of the interesting features of the game is the wide array of options when it comes to the interaction between players, who can share their custom creations and levels on the PlayStation Network, so that everyone can see and play through their content for the game.
