GameTap is a pretty popular online game distribution service that relies on gamers having a subscription in order to play the titles they buy. These subscriptions cost 99 cents in the first month and 10 dollars after that. The service has over 1,000 titles in its portfolio and new games are added every week in order to provide gamers with one of the best experiences possible.

Recently, the company just announced that, for this week's promotion deal, it would be offering some very special deals. The first one is the fact that you can order the very popular RTS (Real Time Strategy) title Supreme Commander and get its expansion pack, entitled Forged Alliance, for free. And speaking of free games, for this week only, you'll have the chance to play the very popular and best selling Codemasters title Overlord.

For those of you who don't know, Overlord was a very interesting game, giving you the possibility to play as a dark warrior called, what else, the Overlord. You had the ability to summon little golem-like creatures called minions, which did all of your dirty work in battles and in other parts of the game. The story was quite unique, taking a very different perspective on the usual good versus evil gameplay, as this time you were the evil one and had to take the country back from the corrupt heroes.

Here are some other deals that may get you interested in the game distribution service:

-Die by the Sword: Limb from Limb - Treyarch's sword fighting game that allows brutal and realistic swordplay. GameTap's download of Die by the Sword now includes the expansion pack Limb from Limb, which features a new main quest and new playable characters.

-World Poker Championship 2: Final Table Showdown - Coresoft and publisher Valusoft (a division of THQ) present a poker tournament simulation with character customization, ten ranging from Texas Hold'Em, to 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Draw.

All in all, some very interesting deals that might just make a lot of players enter this pretty popular network. Until then, you might want to get your minions to do your dirty work for free in Overlord.
