Wireless carrier T-Mobile is the first US wireless services providers to make the new Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet PC available for purchase on its airwaves.

The company already announced officially that it would carry the Android-based slate starting with November 10th, but it did not offer specific info on the price tag at which the device will be released.

According to a recent article on TmoNews, the slate's price tag was set at $399.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

Moreover, T-Mobile is also expected to have the new slate on sale on pre-paid options too, priced at $599.99.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the T-Mobile-bound Galaxy Tab was already put on pre-order at Amazon, with a price tag of $699 attached to it.

T-Mobile's pricing, provided that it pans out in the end, would certainly look much more appealing, one should agree.

The carrier does not offer specific info on the matter on its website, where it lists the Android-based slate as coming soon.

“Introducing T-Mobile’s first Android-powered tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab. This 7-inch touch-screen tablet is portable yet powerful, letting you enjoy simple, rich connections to all the entertainment and information you love most, even when you’re on the go,” the carrier notes.

The tablet PC comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display, complemented by a 1GHz application processor, and dual cameras (a 3MP one on the back and a 1.3MP one on the front).

The Galaxy Tab also comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, support for 3G networks, Bluetooth, great multimedia capabilities, and more. Measuring 4.7 x 7.5 x 0.5 inches, the Android slate weighs in at 13.4 ounces, with the 4000mAh Li-ion battery included.

As stated above, T-Mobile is the first US carrier to add Galaxy Tab to its offering, though others also announced plans to make the move, including Sprint and Verizon.
