South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has just announced the upcoming availability of two of its most popular devices on the market in Japan, namely the Samsung Galaxy S and the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Rumors on the availability of these two devices on the Japanese market were spotted into the wild before, but now they can all be put to a rest, since the move is official.

Just as rumored, the high-end Android-based Samsung Galaxy S smartphone is set to land on the market in Japan before the end of October, the mobile phone maker announced officially.

As for the Galaxy Tab, rumors were pretty far from the truth, as the device is set to land in Japan in November, and not in March next year, as previously suggested, a recent article on Samsung Hub reads.

Moreover, the handset vendor unveiled the fact that Galaxy Tab, its first Android-based tablet PC, is expected to be released in the country on NTT DOCOMO's airwaves.

On top of that, the phone manufacturer unveiled that it plans on showcasing both these Android devices at the CEATEC 2010 till October 9.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the Galaxy S runs under the Android 2.2 Froyo platform version, and that it boasts a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display.

The high-end smartphone also comes with a 1GHz application processor inside, as well as with a 5-megapixel photo snapper with HD video recording capabilities.

The specs list for Galaxy S also include Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11n connectivity options, as well as GPS receiver, and a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space.

As for the Galaxy Tab, the slate runs under the Android 2.2 OS too, though it pairs it with a 7-inch WSVGA Super TFT display.

The tablet PC includes a 1GHz CPU, along with two cameras, one for video calling (3.2MP rear camera, 1.3MP front facing camera), 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity options, built-in GPS receiver, and microSD card support.
