It looks like Rogers and TELUS will be joining Bell and Virgin Mobile in releasing the Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone. However, both carriers will offer the Ice Cream Sandwich device next year, in January 2012.

Although no official release date or price tag has been unveiled, it appears that Rogers customers will be able to reserve their Galaxy Nexus device via the carrier's Reservation System starting today.

I just wanted to confirm that Rogers will be carrying the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in January. The device will be available on our Reservation System tomorrow.”

Given the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is a Bell and Virgin Mobile exclusive, TELUS and Rogers were force to add the device to their portfolio later than expected.

However, customers who are willing to wait until early 2012 for Rogers or Bell Canada will get a pretty solid device, both software- and hardware-wise.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus has a stunning 4.65-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that support HD resolution (720 x 1280 pixels) and features an oleophobic surface.

The superphone is equipped with a 1.2 GHz dual core TI OMAP 4460 processor, and packs 16 GB of internal memory and 1GB of RAM.

With support for LTE and HSDPA, Galaxy Nexus provides fast data speed connectivity for Internet browsing and data transfers.

On the back, there's a 5-megapixel photo snapper that features autofocus, LED flash, as well as the “zero lag shutter” ability, while on the front there's a 1.3-megapixel secondary camera.

On related news, rumor has it that Verizon Wireless pushed back the Galaxy Nexus launch from November 21. Due to several bugs found during testing, the Galaxy Nexus will be released in United States in early December.

However, more rumors state that the Galaxy Nexus will be released at Verizon three days earlier than expected, on November 18.
