With every hour that passes we are getting closer to the official launch of Nvidia's GTX 570 graphics card, but unofficially almost everything there was to know about Nvidia's upcoming GPU has pretty much made it out, the very first performance numbers making their way towards us thanks to the not yet released Gigabyte GeForce GTX 570.

Brought to our attention once again by the Xfastest website, this leak is a little bit more informative compared to the otherS that made their way before to the Web since Gigabyte was gracious enough to provide its users with some 3DMark Vantage performance numbers for their graphics card.

Bearing a pretty much self-explanatory “GBT Confidential: NDA on 12/07” the second image that made its way onto the Web states the card will get 11222 point in 3DMark Vantage with the Extreme settings and 24541 points when the performance profile is used.

Unfortunately, it's pretty tough to say how do these numbers compare to the GTX 480 or other graphics cards out there as Gigabyte didn't specify the hardware configuration these tests were run at.

However, most of the reports available online specify that GTX 570's performance is about the same of that of the GTX 480, the two cards sharing the same number of CUDA cores although the GTX 570 comes with a narrower memory bus (320-bit compared to 384-bit).

This drop in performance is however made up by the higher core frequency and improved architecture, the GTX 570 also coming coming with lower power consumption, its TDP being rated at 225W.

As far as Gigabyte's implementation is concerned this pretty much follows Nvidia's reference specifications coming with a 732Mhz core and 1.28GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 3800MHz.

No word on pricing just yet, but the EVGA GTX 570 SuperClocked edition graphics card that showed up online earlier today was listed at about $400 US.
