Although there's certainly no shortage of high-end, professional in-ear headphones for you to choose from, the list just got a little bit bigger since Future Sonics has added their new Atrio Special Edition earphones to the mix, making your decision even more difficult.

If you are not familiar with Future Sonics' products that you should know the company is famous for designing and manufacturing its own proprietary MG line of full-range miniature loudspeakers, the Atrio Special Edition featuring a seventh generation MG dynamics driver (dubbed the MG7).

As a result these headphones have an impressive response range that covers frequencies between 18Hz – 20,000Hz as well as an improved sensitivity of 112db@30Hz, making them really well suited for all soft of applications from concert stages to iPod or Zune media playback.

But great sound quality isn't all that Future Sonics promises to deliver, the company also claiming to use an improved ergonomic design that should make them a lot more comfortable to wear, even for kids.

And this may as well be the case, since the Atrio Special Edition come with an impressive array of foam and silicone sleeves, that are available in different sizes, Future Sonics also offering their clients the option of customizing the Atrio's if they so desire (with the Softerwear custom fit sleeve upgrade kit available separately).

Apart from all these sleeves that come together with the headphones, Future Sonics also bundles the Atrio's with a carrying case and a loop cleaning tool.

Coming with a standard 3.5mm gold-plated jack these earphones also feature an 1.3 meter long cable and up to 30db ambient noise rejection.

Available in earth beige, onyx brown, cobalt blue and ruby red, the Atrio Special Edition earphones are available for $229, so these will set you back quite a decent amount, although I am under the impression these are actually worth it.
