PhoneFusion, a provider of reliable, hosted communications solutions, came to the CTIA Wireless 2009 trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada to unveil its beta version of the Fusion Voicemail Plus 2.0 for Windows Mobile devices. According to the company, its innovative application has been tested to offer users full support for the upcoming Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system from Microsoft.

Fusion Voicemail Plus 2.0 for Windows Mobile comes as a free voicemail application that can be downloaded to any WinMo smartphone to offer those who have a wireless data and text messaging plan the possibility to bring all of their voicemail boxes to a single place, while also allowing them to view a list of their voice messages on their mobile phone. At the same time, users would also be able to listen to the messages on their device.

Another new and exciting feature of the application is the fact that it allows Windows Mobile users to receive faxes directly on their handset. They can either use the existing mobile phone number to benefit from the feature or register a new number. At the same time, the Fusion Voicemail Plus 2.0 also enables them to forward voicemails to any mail address. Not to mention the fact that the new version also integrates with users’ address book, while providing them with touchscreen gestures for navigating through messages.

“Fusion Voicemail Plus is an innovative mobile application that lets the Windows Mobile community experience the powerful freedom of the mobile lifestyle. As we prepare to introduce the Windows Marketplace for Mobile, we are pleased to partner with PhoneFusion to offer our users a better Voicemail experience. With this partnership, we open the door for millions of Windows Mobile users to experience visual voicemail from any Windows Mobile device,” said Jason Lim, director, ISF & Developer Experience, Microsoft.

As stated above, the Fusion Voicemail Plus 2.0 for Windows Mobile is now in beta, and the company calls for those interested to join the public release while also announcing that the first 50,000 users that will download the app will also receive free faxing. Those who use the application and have something to say about it can do it here. Fusion Voicemail Plus 2.0 for Windows Mobile is available for download here.

“We’ve been refining Fusion Voicemail Plus for more than a year. We listen to our customers and, often through their suggestions, find ways to improve our users Voicemail experience. We’ve had more than 200,000 downloads since we first launched and the application is now available on Windows Mobile, Blackberry and Android smartphones. We look forward to being part of the Windows Marketplace for Mobile, making it easier than ever for Windows Mobile users to access this powerful new way of getting voicemail on their mobile device,” stated Jonathan Hollander, co-founder of PhoneFusion.
