Phone calls take longer than that!

Mobile phones seem to run out of battery when most needed. Even if a charger is anywhere around, it takes way too long to wait in one place for it to reach its full. N5 now brings Quickie, the solution that will charge the handset in no longer than 10 minutes.

Quickie will arrive in the UK under the form of a slot machine service that will be capable of charging multiple mobile phones at the same time. The users can even choose to use their devices while they wait for its battery to be filled, with no differences from the way a regular charging process goes.

The devices are not for sale and will be placed across the UK. Around 10,000 Quickie machines will be placed in locations where people spend more or less time in developing certain activities, so that they will be distracted from the 10 minute wait. A large number of hotels, coffee shops, supermarkets and sports clubs will provide Quickie services to their customers within the next two years.

Quickie machines are not a new thing in the world, but will now arrive in the UK too. Some regions in America, including the Middle East and the Far East are already accustomed with this type of service which has proved to be highly successful.

The growing use of high power-consuming multimedia phone features make users feel the need for a product like Quickie in the UK too. Because handsets now include evolved camera performances, Internet, mobile TV and data transfers, their battery is bound to be drained of life a great deal faster, leaving their owner without the possibility of even placing a call.

Major handset producers have already placed their own cell charging stations in some restaurants, but the truth is that this type of solution takes too long. Depending on the phone model, there is a huge amount of time left to wait for the battery to charge this way. Quickie slot machines take away this disadvantage by asking for only 10 minutes of the handset owner's time.
