The camera will be announced by the Nippon manufacturer on January 28

Yesterday, Nippon camera and optics manufacturer Fujifilm celebrated its 80th birthday and, with the occasion, the company launched a teaser website and confirmed that the X-T1 was indeed its upcoming weather sealed mirrorless camera.

Following that announcement, a wave of new rumors has appeared, including information about the camera's price in Japan as well as a few features of the improved EVF.

According to FujiRumors, a new source stated that Fujifilm X-T1 would be sold in Europe at a price around €1,200 / $1,600 for body only, €1,600 / $2,150 for the 18-55mm kit, and around €1,800 / $2,400 for the XF 18-135mm (weather sealed) lens kit.

In comparison with X-T1 prices, the X-E2 is currently available for purchase at a price of $999 / €738, while the X-Pro1 can be yours for $1,078 / €800. Check out more information on the camera's specs in our previous article.
