It seems that, along with Fujifilm's X-T1 teaser website, many new bits of information have been revealed by anonymous sources, giving us a more detailed insight on the upcoming weather sealed X-series camera.

According to Digicameinfo, the X-T1 weather sealed interchangeable lens camera is planned to be launched mid-February along with the XF18-55mm f/2.8-4 lens. Moreover, the same source adds that the X-T1 will bear a price tag of ¥180,000 / $1,700 / €1,300 for body only.

This is quite high if we take into consideration the fact that the X-E2 is now available for $999 / €738, while the X-Pro1 can be purchased at a price of $1,078 / €800. This means that the X-T1 will be Fujifilm's new X-series flagship model and not a premium model placed between X-E and X-Pro series.

In addition to that, fresh information has been disclosed by anonymous sources. It appears that the upcoming X-T1 features a state-of-the-art EVF that offers almost no lag, excellent dynamic tracking, and high resolution.

Thanks to the integrated APS-C X-Trans CMOS II image sensor, the X-T1 is capable to offer a precise manual focus that takes advantage of Fujifilm's digital split image technology and uses phase detection to provide an accurate focus in any conditions.

Moreover, besides being dustproof and waterproof, the X-T1 is rumored to have a smaller body than the current X-E1 model. The camera also features an improved EXR image processor that provides superior imaging performance with even better image quality.

Other bits of information point that the upcoming XF18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 R OIS lens comes with a weather sealed body. The lens will probably be introduced at next month's CP+ show in Yokohama, Japan. For the moment, Fujifilm has no plans to replace its current lenses with dustproof and waterproof versions.
