34 people have been injured in Simi Valley, California on Thursday night, July 4, which is six more than it was originally reported.

According to Los Angeles Times, officials are now saying that the fireworks blew up because one of them detonated early. A chain reaction was formed and they all took off into the crowd.

As I mentioned yesterday, the incident was caused by a wooden platform tipping off. It was holding all the pyrotechnics supposed to be used in the July 4 show. A video of the incident, as seen on the ground, has been posted above.

"The fireworks were so close you could see them on the ground. [...] It never happens this way. People were screaming," witness Annisa Wynn describes.
