New MMORPG tries its luck in the virtual worlds

The number of MMORPG games available on the market keeps growing and we'll pretty soon have as many online titles as offline ones. This is not at all a bad thing, since they not only offer tens of hours of entertainment, but also bring the social aspect to maximum levels. One of the newest titles to try their luck with the online worlds is named Florensia and it is developed by the Japanese company NETTS.

Florensia promises to bring us a vibrant, maritime world filled with islands we should explore freely (Cardiff, Exeter, and Magnal are their names and - at least - UK readers will totally disagree). Anyway, players will have to choose one of the four starting classes, from the sword-wielding Mercenary to the spell casting Nobles and then battle using a varied array of weapons and spells. A classic, typical MMORPG, I could say, one you could start beta testing right now, if you visit the official web page of the game.

"Our top priority is providing subscription MMO quality in a free-to-play format," said Achim Kaspers, managing director of Burda:ic, the game's publisher. "We received a lot of good feedback from our closed beta, so we're throwing open the doors as we prepare new features like second classes, expanded PvP gameplay, and additional creature updates."

Indeed, as Achim Kaspers said, one of the biggest advantages of Florensia is its being free to play (which probably uses micro transactions). Other features include pastel-shaded 3D graphics, a huge variety of monsters to battle against, islands, dungeons, and treasures waiting to be discovered and all sorts of upgradeable weapons and armor. Also, player versus player battles will be supported so that the most competitive players can prove their value to the world. Unfortunately, there are no gameplay screenshots released. So far.
