Western fans of the Fist of the North Star manga franchise can be happy, as the latest action game in the series will retain the Japanese voice acting when it launches this fall in Europe and North America. Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage was developed by Omega Force and published by Tecmo Koei in Japan this March.

Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage will also be voiced in English, but a spokesperson for Tecmo Koei declared for Eurogamer that many fans requested Japanese voice-overs, as they would keep the atmosphere of the game in line with the other products in the franchise. The localized version of this Dynasty Warriors spin-off will be coming in the West sometime this fall for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

The game got positive reviews in Japan, most of them stating that it was a decent virtual recreation of the world from the manga graphic novels and that the fighting was well done and fun. There are four play modes to choose from: Legend, Dream, Challenge and Introduction. Legend follows the story of the franchises, allowing players to fill Kenshiro’s shoes, the main character of the series.

Dream is an original narrative developed especially for Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage, in which other characters can be used. Challenge acts as the survival mode, letting players fight continuous series of enemies for high scores. Introduction is rather self-explanatory, being the title's tutorial.

Omega Force is also working on Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll, a role-playing game developed exclusively for the PlayStation 3. The title is set to arrive in Japan until the end of this year. It will also arrive in the Western territories, but no details have been revealed by Tecmo Koei for the moment.
