The countdown has started: in preparation for the September premiere, CBS has unveiled the first poster for its reinvented hit sitcom, “Two and a Half Men.” To say it’s a tease would probably be an understatement.

Fans of the show must already know that Charlie Sheen was fired after a dispute with Warner Bros. and the series’ creator Chuck Lorre.

For a few months, studio bosses mulled over the idea of ending the sitcom altogether, since they didn’t believe they could take it any further without Charlie, who played the lead character Charlie Harper.

In the end, though, they decided to give it a shot and, bringing Ashton Kutcher to fill Sheen’s shoes – albeit for a different role – they set the wheels in motion for a new season of “Men.”

Shooting starts this August and, as such, it was to be expected to have CBS unveil the first poster, which doesn’t reveal much of the director the story will take, but is definitely promising enough, Entertainment Weekly notes.

Teasing ‘All Will Be Revealed’ during its season premiere, Two and a Half Men launched a new teaser campaign that shows Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones and Ashton Kutcher seemingly naked holding up a their launch date,” EW writes.

Effective? Sure, it plays off the curiosity around the recast show and hints at characteristic Men raunchy humor,” the e-zine further notes.

Of course, this is just the first in a series of brand new posters.

“I’m told CBS and Warner Bros. will likely end up using this ad a few different ways – changing the text on the sign for different messages,” EW says.

Producers on “Two and a Half Men” aren’t the only ones moving on either, as we also informed you the other day: Charlie Sheen too is working on his own show, one on which he will have creative control – a sitcom inspired from the 2003 hit “Anger Management.”
