Motorola has presented a new iDEN mobile phone model set to arrive at Nextel. The i335 handset will come at an affordable price, as to match its low performances and many disadvantages, although it has a better design than most Nextel phones.

Interest in the iDEN line of phones has always been considerably lower, as performances have never even come close to those of regular handsets. Still, this Motorola i335 mobile phone has some advantages which bring it close to the standards of regular mobile phones.

The device has a rubber cover, similar to leather, which makes it easy to grip and use. It also adds to the design, as the molded rubber on buttons looks incredibly appealing. Motorola i335 comes in black, with red navigation buttons. The disadvantage that this phone model poses might be that of a size above average. iDEN handsets tend to be bulkier and not as elegant as regular ones, which makes the large size quite understandable.

Motorola i335 lacks the performances of regular mobile phones and stresses only on the look and unique tactile feel of the rubber. It is not capable of evolved performances and does not even have a camera. For this reason, it should prove to be quite affordable for anyone who wants to benefit from the best in iDEN technology.

Motorola i335 has only been announced at this point. The phone is set for a release towards the end of this year and is expected to come for a low price too, as to match its few performances.

iDEN (Integrated Digital Enhanced Network) technology has been developed by Motorola for providing trunked radio and a cellular telephone at the same time. iDEN supports three or six phone users per channel and six or twelve dispatch users per channel, using time division multiple access.
