Over the weekend, singer Fergie married “Transformers” star Josh Duhamel, and made one of the few lasting couples in showbiz, as well as one of the most beloved, official. The ceremony took place in Malibu under the veil of secrecy for fear of turning into a media circus and it is just now that the first details on the whole affair have begun to emerge.

For starters, Us Weekly has made public the cover for the upcoming issue and, not at all surprisingly, it features the gorgeous bride and groom. Aside from this preview pic, fans can also rejoice at the promise that the mag will include an album photo, together with an exclusive interview with the couple and plenty of other interesting details about the ceremony.

With the caption “I held back tears,” as Fergie told the magazine about how she felt during the ceremony, the photo shows the glowing bride in a stunning white gown, as she’s being held by a smiling Josh. And, speaking of gowns, word in the media is that not only did Fergie opt for traditional white, despite previously saying that she might go for any other color than white, but that she also swapped two such gowns in the course of the evening.

However, this is not the only peculiar detail about this celebrity wedding. As People magazine reports, it seems that the couple chose to give guests their invitations to the event only after it was over. This, it seems, is a method common in celebrity circles, since the invitation has come to be seen as some sort of memorabilia or gift from the bride and groom. It also helps media leaks, by not disclosing important details prior to the big event.

“Fergie loves bling and has a love for unicorns and Josh loves nature. The artwork had leaves and hidden details like a unicorn and the invites were decorated with crystals.” a spokesperson for Lehr & Black, which designed the invitations for the A-list couple, tells the magazine. Josh also wanted to add a personal touch to them, so he also included in the envelope a caricature of him and Fergie, all dressed up for the wedding, out fishing.
