Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have always managed to keep a secret whenever they wanted to, and the way they handled the news of their engagement or her mastectomy or even her pregnancies is proof of that. Last weekend, the two were married in France in a secret ceremony.

The two actors have been together for 9 years and engaged for 2. Whenever asked about wedding plans, they always either provided a diplomatic answer that really didn’t reveal anything, or sidestepped the question altogether.

If you don’t know it yet, let us say it out loud: Jolie and Pitt, aka the Brangelina couple, know how to play the media and protect their privacy.

The first details about their French ceremony have emerged online. Us Weekly reports that it took place at their estate in the country, Chateau Miraval, and that only family members and very close friends were present.

They must have handled every little detail with extreme care because one word of this to the press and they would have had the sky above the place buzzing with paparazzi helicopters.

“Their children also took part in the wedding. Jolie, 39, walked down the aisle with Maddox and Pax, while Zahara and Vivienne threw petals. Daughter Shiloh and youngest son Knox were ring bearers, the spokesperson said,” the celebrity publication writes.

In her most recent interviews, Angelina did say that, whenever she and Brad would marry (she didn’t know when that would be, she claimed), they would make sure to include all 6 children they have together in the ceremony because they had been bugging them about it for months.

She kept her promise, even if she didn’t give in to their demands and have the wedding at Disneyland, as they insisted.

“Prior to exchanging vows, the couple obtained a marriage license from a California judge. The same judge also conducted the nondenominational civil ceremony in France,” Us Weekly also says.

For the time being, no photos or other details are available. Chances are fans (aka the Brangeloonies) would not get more info than this, if the way the engagement news was handled is any indication.

While few probably expected to see Angelina pull of a wedding a la Kim Kardashian (read, with extensive media coverage before, during and after the happy event), it would be somewhat disappointing if we didn’t get at least one photo of the two on their big day. Still, the fans would probably forgive the both of them for this kind of heartbreak.
