From Samsung?

Most of us are totally bored with all the handsets the mobile phone manufacturers release almost on a daily basis but, from time to time, a special kind of people out there show us new ways of implementing mobile phone solutions.

These concept handsets have always made the headlines even if they came out of a Photoshop fan-boy's personal computer or from cellphone manufacturers which wanted to show everybody what their design teams are capable of.

Unfortunately, until now, not many of those concept handsets have reached the production lines mainly because of the technological barriers that stand in front of them and stop them from getting off the drawing board and jump straight in to the pockets of every mobile phone enthusiast around the world.

Today I'm going to write about a concept cellphone designed by Sunman Kwon, a device that takes the form of a common band wrist but with a small and important twist to it. This is not your usual band wrist that you can buy from any usual shop selling accessories.

This is a complete wearable communication device that will use 3.5G or 4G communication standards, the technologies that will let anyone make video calls and a lot more.

The loop designed concept features a small screen that will let you see the person you are talking to and an input system pretty similar to the laser virtual keyboard we all know for quite some time.

There is a difference in the approach though: unlike the case of the virtual laser keyboard the laser system integrated in this wrist cellphone will not project the keypad on some surface, but will make a straight forward use of the user's fingers by transforming them into a 3x4 alphanumeric keyboard.

It looks a whole lot cooler than everything we have seen until now in the concept phone pond but, at the moment, there are no plans of getting it on the production line.

There is a thing that bugs me though: why does a Samsung logo appear on this Finger Touch handset? Could it be possible to see this concept on the mobile market manufactured by the Korean mobile phone manufacturer? If the answer is positive I bet the gross number of sold Wrist Finger Touch Cellphone units will definitely surpass every other mobile phone in the history of wireless communication. So, just in case, let's all round up and say a loud "Good bye iPhone" :).

Nevertheless, we should still keep our feet on the ground and don't get all excited about it, because few are the cases when such sci-fi type of cellphones get the manufacturers' attention together with an official launch.
