Wings of the Goddess is the fourth expansion pack received by Final Fantasy XI and it has been made available for PC platforms and Xbox 360 consoles. In this pack, the players are sent 20 years back in time, exactly at the core of the Crystal War. It also comes with new jobs, enemies and features.

Final Fantasy XI is a massively multiplayer online RPG that had a huge success and developed a great community of gamers. President and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd, John Yamamoto, said about the game: "The world of Final Fantasy XI continues to grow with both new content and new players. Wings of the Goddess provides the latest exciting expansion to Vana'diel with a host of features that ensures Final Fantasy XI continues to evolve and entertain."

In other words, the pack brings a new set of jobs, the Dancer and the Scholar. The Dancers were very popular during the Great War, fighting in the front lines together with the allied army units. They are able to cast powerful spells, both on themselves and their enemies. The Scholars were, during the Crystal War, great tacticians that often served as highly ranked officers for all allied forces. They have the ability to wield dual schools of magic and are able to alternate between those two, depending on the situation.

Also, new combat features are brought to us by this expansion pack. Large-scale battles will now be possible, along with the exploration of new special dungeon - possible within the new Allied Campaign system. There will also be some new areas expanding the world of Vana'diel, as well as Mog house guests. This means that players can invite other players to the Mog Houses and show them all their personalized items and furniture.

Wings of the Goddess brings a new set of monsters, too, but details were not given. This should change soon, as this expansion pack is available.
