Silent Hill Origins Demo affair all over again...

Last month we saw a major leak, the Silent Hill Origins PSP demo and now there's another similar title, available on torrent sites: Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. It seems that PSP games have a tendency to become available earlier than scheduled, especially for those that choose to use the illegal way of playing titles. The full game is available in its Japanese version, but you'd be better off buying it, in case you know a bit of Japanese, or waiting for the US version to come out.

You shouldn't call yourself a Final Fantasy fan if you start downloading the title right now, because you'll be spoiling the long wait with an illegal version of the game. How could the game become available so fast? The official launch is tomorrow, so there must have been some sort of leak, coming from a Square-Enix employee, or maybe the game was stolen from the Final Fantasy VII Anniversary exhibition in Tokyo.

In the meantime, the rest of the game's fans drool while watching gameplay trailers and cutscenes, either made available by gaming sites or uploaded by those downloading impatient FF fans. It seems that Crisis Core will feature a summoning mechanism called DMW - Digital Mind Wave, which allows you to invoke the power of various creatures. Also, as seen in the gameplay footage, your limit breaks will be performed with the aid of a minigame that resembles Tiffa's pre-attack sequence from FF VII.

It's the classic roulette and you'll have to get three symbols right in order to perform a limit break. Also, die-hard fans of the original title will be pleased to find out that the fights have the same background music that was present in FF VII, but they're not turn-based any more. Just a little reminder: the game is launched tomorrow, so we'll get more details in 24 hours or so.
