14 DAY TRIAL // The other day, a video of Miley Cyrus smoking a bong leaked online. After a longer version of the video surfaced, her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, spoke out on the scandal, tweeting that he was sorry about everything that had happened.
The video was made by one of Miley’s friends shortly after she turned 18 years old and, according to reports, it was then sold to the media.
While an unnamed but close source to the Disney star says what that she’s smoking on the video is not marijuana but salvia, thus legal in California, Billy Ray tweets that he finds himself a bit overwhelmed about the whole thing.
“Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. Im so sad. There is much beyond my control right now,” Cyrus posted on his Twitter page some hours ago.
As noted above, while he was doing so, another, longer video of Miley emerged online, this time showing how she reacted after taking two puffs from the bong.
At one point, for instance, she seems to believe that a guy she sees on TV is Liam Hemsworth, her ex, and she starts giggling uncontrollably that she could have only believed that because she was tripping.
“Is that a [expletive]-ing Liam lookalike or what the hell is that? Is that my boyfriend? Oh my God, he looks so much like him. Is that me tripping?” Miley asks, suddenly jerking upright from the couch.
More giggles ensue after the female friend taping her tells her she’s “gonna [expletive] bricks when you see this,” having previously said she planned on documenting the entire thing.
As we also informed you yesterday, TMZ, the same media outlet to get a hold of the video recording, claims they have it from very reliable sources that Miley wasn’t smoking weed but salvia.
“According to a source connected with Miley, the smoke filling the bong is a natural herb called salvia which has psychedelic qualities. Possession of salvia is legal in California,” the e-zine noted the other day.
“As for the video, the source tells us it was shot by one of Miley’s friends – and the theory is someone stole or copied the video from that friend’s camera,” TMZ added.
