Ubisoft has posted a brand new video with its upcoming Far Cry 3 shooter, this time showing off gameplay from the title’s cooperative mode, in which up to four players can team up and experience new adventures.

Far Cry 3 is set to deliver a very intriguing experience later this year, with a complex single-player campaign that tackles all sorts of philosophical debates, not to mention an intense competitive multiplayer mode in which players fight one another.

For those that like teamwork, a special cooperative mode is also included in Far Cry 3. It has now been showcased by Ubisoft Massive, the studio responsible for this part of the game, in a new video.

As you can see in the gameplay footage above, Far Cry 3’s co-op mode retains the fast pace from the single-player and multiplayer campaigns, while allowing players to control four characters and choose between five different loadouts: Warrior, Rusher, Deadeye, Saboteur or Bodyguard.

Besides the impressive video, a new description of the co-op mode’s story has also been posted by Ubisoft, which you can admire below.

“When a twisted ship captain sells his black market cruise liner and everyone on it to a warlord named Hoyt, only four crew members have the courage to fight back. They band together to fight off the pirates and recover the safe that holds the ship's profits and the crew's earnings,” the publisher said.

“But the captain has different plans in mind. He escapes, taking the money from the safe with him, and takes refuge on Hoyt's island. Now, the four survivors must claw their way through the jungle to reclaim what they have lost and exact revenge against the man who wronged them.”

Far Cry 3 was initially set to appear this September but has since been delayed to November 29, in Europe, and December 4, in North America, for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Until then, check out the video below.
