Fallout: New Vegas developer Obsidian studios has just revealed that a new patch for all the versions of the game, on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, has just been launched, and is available for download on either Steam, the PlayStation Network or on Xbox Live.

Fallout: New Vegas has just been launched last week, but the game has already been met with mixed feelings, as although it is an extremely solid RPG with a great story and sometimes hilarious things, it is plagued by many glitches.

We've received a lot of comments detailing bugs encountered by players throughout the game on all of the platforms, but most predominated on the console editions of New Vegas.

Now, after a few minor updates were released on the PC when the game was launched, a full pledged patch 1.01 was released for all of the platforms on which Fallout: New Vegas is available.

According to the Obsidian, the patch fixes around 200 bugs and problems encountered by players, including ones related to scripting, quests and non playable characters.

The studio also revealed that it is in talks with video card manufacturers on the PC platform in order to fix some glitches encountered on particular graphic cards.

On the console side, Xbox 360 users which couldn't load save games because of DLC warnings are advised to save often as a fix for the platform is still in development and testing.

According to Obsidian, console users will see an improvement in performance and stability with the new patch.

The studio also revealed that it is monitoring forums, Twitter, Facebook and other media outlets for various issues reported by players and that it will continue to try and fix all of them through subsequent title updates for Fallout: New Vegas.

Until then though, try to enjoy the post apocalyptic role playing even if some glitches may still be present, or at least try to exploit them, like the recent bucket stealing one.
