Milo game still in development

New details have emerged about the romance options of Fable III, as Peter Molyneux has recently declared that those who play the cooperative multiplayer component can, in fact, marry their avatars. Moreover, he says that, if players married someone from the Xbox Live friends list, then the two characters could have children together. Those who are not interested in love can opt to have more business-like relationships with other players.

Same-sex marriage will be allowed in Fable III, according to Molyneux, who serves as the lead designer of the game. Convincing the title's publisher to agree with this somewhat controversial decision was quite hard, Molyneux having said that, ”Yeah, you can have same-sex marriage. And you can adopt as well. And there’s social diseases. Getting that through Microsoft Geo-Poli is tough, I can assure you.”

Those who do not fancy tying the knot with other players have other options too, as the developer states that, “Or if you don’t want to do that, you have your man and you’re playing with another man, you are free to go into business partnership, which is kind of almost the same as getting married, but with a man.” Fable III will be launched on the 26th of October for both the Xbox 360 and the PC.

This information is coming from an interview with VG247, where the Microsoft Games' creative director has also said that a title built around the Milo demonstration for Kinect shown at 2009's Electronic Entertainment Expo is still in development and will come with the second generation of Kinect games. Milo will resurface in July at the Oxford University, where the developer will be giving a TED talk probably involving the character. Peter Molyneux also says that the first generation of Kinect-powered videogames offers only a glimpse of what motion tracking can achieve, with the second generation of games set to actually deliver the best experiences.
