The phones will be available only from T-Mobile

T-Mobile announced recently that it has teamed up with Nokia to bring customers closer to all the 2006 FIFA World Cup action as they launch selected Nokia handsets with embedded 2006 FIFA World Cup content to T-Mobile customers in Austria, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland and the UK.

The Special Edition Nokia 6280, the 6131 and the N70 handsets will come complete with the event's only officially licensed videogame, 2006 FIFA World Cup from Electronic Arts, the 2006 FIFA World Cup anthem 'Celebrate the Day' by Herbert Gr?nemeyer, the Nokia football theme, icons and wallpapers, access to FIFA World Cup highlights and will be packaged with special 2006 FIFA World Cup stickers.

Matthias Immel, Vice President T-Mobile International, said, "These handsets with embedded premium World Cup content, are only available to T-Mobile customers and bring all the excitement and action of the World Cup straight to your phone."

T-Mobile and EA also announced that they have entered a strategic agreement which will see the partners work closer together to bring top EA games to T-Mobile users across Europe, including Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia and the UK.

As part of this strategic relationship, the 2006 FIFA World Cup game is included in the embedded content available on the selected Nokia handsets. T-Mobile customers who do not own one of the exclusive Nokia handsets can download the football game and play alongside their World Cup heroes to lead any of the 32 international teams to glory.
