T-Mobile will be the first mobile operator to broadcast to their customer's phones live football matches from World Cup 2006.

All T-Mobile customers who won't be able to watch their favorite team's matches live on TV, will be able to watch it very easy on their mobile phones. Moreover, T-Mobile has made available for download 15 minutes format clips, which consists in the most important phases from matches, interviews, specialist opinions and analysis.

All the information will be delivered through "t-zones" - mobile information portal from T-Mobile. Starting today, "t-zones" offers highlights of Germany's football history. The information is available in image or video formats through SMS or MMS. The cost of one SMS will be around EUR 1.45 and one MMS will cost EUR 1.99.

In April, T-Mobile will launch "World Cup Insider" - a news service through SMS and MMS. Subscribers to this service will receive the last news through MMS (around 4 per month). The messages will be images from training, press room and other football events. To be able to receive live transmissions, clients must have UMTS mobile phones (Universal Mobile Telecommunication System) and they must subscribe to MobileTV's service.

The service will be available in Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, UK, Hungary, Croatia and Slovakia.
