Internet rumors say Eva Mendes may have turned to Botox to fight off wrinkles

Eva Mendes, who has toped polls for the hottest woman in showbiz or even on the planet many years in a row, may have turned to Botox to fight the first signs of growing old. The problem is, anyone can tell. While walking the red carpet at the premiere of her latest film, “The Other Guys,” all eyes where on the star’s high-arched eyebrows and lack of mobility in the face.

Several celebrity blogs and glossy publications claim that, though gorgeous as ever, there is something a bit “off” about Eva these days, something especially visible the other night. Of course, as plastic surgeons say, there is rarely any celebrity who hasn’t had some kind of work done but the real problem begins when the public can tell the difference. This seems to be the case with Eva and there are only two possible explanations for it: either she had Botox to her forehead or she suffered from a bad case of “surprised eyebrows” because of an overzealous stylist.

Photos of the actress would seem to tip the scales towards the first option, because her entire face has that frozen aspect that is usually the tell-tale sign of Botox gone bad. Then again, the public may never get to know for a fact if she has or hasn’t, because it’s not likely for her to issue a statement on it. On a happier note, it’s great to see that Eva stays true to the image she’s made for herself, proving that a woman with curves is best – especially if she knows how to dress for her figure.

Speaking of Botox, just yesterday, Jessica Biel admitted in an interview that, while she didn’t rule out the possibility of plastic surgery in the future, she’d like to continue believing she could get by without any intervention. Botox is a scary thing for her, she said, perhaps referring to the fact that it paralyzes the muscles and thus smoothens out wrinkles: and an actor who can’t move his / her face is like a surgeon who can’t use both hands to operate on a patient.

“I think Botox seems very scary. At this moment in my life I hope that when I’m 80 I’ll have had nothing done and have accepted myself. I’d like to feel confident about changing as I grow older,” Biel said, as we also informed you at the time.
