Good news, Linux lovers and supporters. Eurocom seems to be adamant in offering you more laptop products running on the platform, so this week the company has announced its Monster small and lightweight high performance laptops is available to ship with Linux Operating System.

Earlier this month, we told you Eurocom was upgrading its performance laptops with the option of choosing Debian/Ubuntu/Mint as operating system. With the Monster, the producing company also adds Fedora as an option (alongside Windows 7 and Windows 8) which will probably make a lot of users happy.

As you may as well know, opting for Eurocom when you’re purchasing a laptop means you can choose basically anything in terms of configuration, from processors, storage drives memory, keyboards and so on.

“The Eurocom Monster gives users an ultra portable to travel with and go back and forth from School or the office.”

“The Eurocom Monster is like we stuffed a High Performance Notebook into a Netbook form factor, the Monster is the perfect system for enterprise class user running multiple VMs that require a small package and extremely easy mobility.”

Eurocom is trying to market the Monster as a super powerful and efficient Ultrabook of sorts, one of the few to be able to support the Linux operating system.

Linux might be a choice for a lot of users, due to its stylish and user-friendly interface and (semi) immunity to virus-attacks. On top of that, the Monster can run multiple VMs at the same time, without a problem, including w2k3, sp2, w2k8 r2, CentOS 6 and more.

Moving along, the Monster is fitted with up to Intel Core i7 Processors Extreme Edition (with support for both Intel Sandy Bridge (32nm) and Ivy Bridge (22nm) mobile platforms), while memory can be configured taking advantage of 4GB of DDR3-1600 or 1866 to 16GB.

Eurocom allows users to have their pick when storage solutions are concerned, offering SSDs from Crucial RealSSD C400, Intel SSD 520 series, Hard Drives from Hitachi Travelstar 5K100, Western Digital and Hybrid Drives from Seagate.

At the moment, the Eurocom Monster has not been updated to NVIDIA’s latest GeForce GT 800M graphics series, so we have only the NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M under the hood.

However, if you’re interested in the latest GPUs, you should know Eurocom has updated its X3, X5 and X7 performance laptops with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 880M in single or SLI (dual) options.

Going back to the Monster, the laptop is said to be able to last up to 410 minutes on a single charge. For now, we don’t have information about pricing specifications or availability dates.
