Eurocom has just announced that the company is expanding its notebook line with the addition of the Fox 2.0 and Lynx 2.0 notebooks which use Intel's second-generation Core processors and Nvidia dedicated graphics with Optimus support.

Both of these notebooks feature pretty much the same specifications, but come in different form factors as the Fox 2.0 packs a Full HD 15.6-inch display, while the Lynx 2.0 sports a larger 17.3-inch panel (also Full HD).

Users can choose between no less than seven Sandy Bridge mobile processors, ranging from the Core i3-2310M all the way up to the Core i7-2820QM which features four processing cores clocked at 2.3GHz and 8MB of L3 cache memory.

This can be paired together with up to 16GB of DDR3 memory and graphics is provided by the discrete Nvidia GeForce GT 555M GPU, which is accompanied by 2GB of video buffer.

The standard configuration of the notebooks uses a single 2.5-inch storage drive (HDD, SSD or hybrid), but removing the optical unit allows consumers to add a second drive for a maximum of 1.75TB of storage space.

Around the edges of the notebooks, Eurocom has placed an important number of ports and connectors, including a pair of USB 3.0 ports, an eSATA port, HDMI and VGA video outputs as well as an S/PDIF connector.

Users also get a 9-in-1 card reader, HX TruStudio Pro audio, a 62.16WH battery which can run up to 4 hours without a recharge and optional Wifi 802.11n and Bluetooth connectivity.

“Eurocom Fox 2.0 and Lynx 2.0 are designed as performance professional business and/or gaming notebooks.

“Being fully configurable and easily customizable allows IT organizations and/or individual users configure their systems to meet their operational, performance and/or application requirements,” stated the company.

Pricing wasn't made public and the two notebooks aren't yet available for purchase from the company's website.
