14 DAY TRIAL // Not so long ago we told about Eurocom taking a plunge in the Ultrabook market, with the release of the new Armadillo super sleek laptop. Now, a short while after, Eurocom announces it is offering a new option for the lappy in the internal storage department.
The device was created to provide both efficiency and portability for the “new age of the power user.” When launched, the Armadillo was said to be able to support up to two storage drives for up to 1.4TB of storage via a standard storage drive and an mSATA Solid State Drive.
Now, long after rolling out the device, Eurocom reveals it will be bundling the notebook with 2TB of storage. The extra 1TB is offered via an mSATA SSD Samsung 840 EVO storage drive.
“This is the largest and fastest and smallest removable storage device available on the market and we are happy to offer it to our customers in their new, custom built Eurocom system,” said Eurocom President Mark Bialic.
The 840 EVO mSATA SSD works with Samsung’s 128 gigabit NAND flash memory which is based on 10nm process technology. The 1TB Samsung SSD is just 3.85 mm / 0.15 inches thin and weighs a meager 8.5 g / 0.01 lbs so users won’t even know it there.
