Without a doubt, the level of popularity enjoyed by interactive projectors is only set to grow in the near future, and that's pretty much the exact reason why Epson has just added yet another such product to their lineup, namely the BrightLink 455Wi.

Designed specifically for the educational environment, the new projection solution from Epson has the ability of transforming virtually any surface into an interactive one, a feature that many educators will certainly be quite glad to put to good use.

The solution, in fact, is not restricted to the actual projector, but also includes two digital infrared pens, a new pen tray, and wall mount hardware, all of which work together in order to provide teachers with all the necessary tools for truly interactive experiences.

Moving back to the projector itself, we'll have to point out that it offers 2,500 lumens color and white light output, as well as a native WXGA resolution (16:10 aspect ratio) and a very short throw distance, making it a very good solution for smaller spaces.

In fact, since we're on this topic, we'll point out that the device can actually be installed at 2.8-inches away from the wall, while still being able to project an 80-inch diagonal image from only 10-inches away.

Similar to most of Epson's projectors, this device also comes equipped with a closed captioning decoder, while also being able to fully leverage the 3LCD projection technology, for good quality images in any situation.

Also, the BrightLink 455Wi offers plenty of connectivity and networking options, which means that it can be set up and running in almost no time.

Educators who're impressed with the possibilities the Epson BrightLink 455Wi might open for the teaching process should know that this device is currently available for an estimated street price of $2,199 (or $1,699 for Epson's own Brighter Futures program).
