Whatever happened to lead to Emma Roberts’ July 2013 arrest for domestic violence against boyfriend Evan Peters is clearly now water under the bridge, because he proposed to her over the holidays. Moreover, according to reports in several major celebrity publications, she said “Yes!.”

Details on the proposal are scant, but Extra notes that Peters, whom Emma has been dating for a year, popped the question with a “pink gold diamond ring over the holidays in New York City.” Afterwards, they flew to London to ring in the New Year.

“The couple were recently spotted filming their FX show ‘American Horror Story: Coven’ in New Orleans, and Roberts was wearing a ring on her left hand,” adds the same media outlet.

People magazine too confirms the engagement, but not from official sources. Still, since it’s People we’re talking about, it’s safe to take it for a fact.

And if you need even more confirmation of the happy news, this comes from shock photographer Tyler Shields, who actually shot the two some time ago. Just hours ago, he reposted one of the photos from the shoot on his Twitter, with congratulations going out to the happy couple.

“Congrats to @RobertsEmma and Evan Peters for getting Engaged this was the moment I knew he really loved her!,” Shields wrote.

Besides the July arrest, Emma and Evan usually manage to fly under the radar in the press, though they’re constantly photographed and hounded by the paparazzi. That, of course, is explainable by the fact that she’s the daughter of Eric Roberts and the niece of none other than America’s sweetheart Julia Roberts, as you might have guessed from that last name.

After the arrest, no charges were filed because the two reconciled immediately. In a statement released to the press, reps for both actors called the incident a very sad “misunderstanding” that was solved on the spot.

As you can imagine, reports said that Emma went crazy and attacked him, probably in a fit of jealousy.
