14 DAY TRIAL // Actress Emma Roberts, the daughter of Eric Roberts and Julia Roberts’ niece, was arrested for domestic violence early this month in Canada, after a fight between herself and boyfriend Evan Peters became so violent that police were called.
Fans must know that this is the first time that Emma makes headlines for such a thing and that she doesn’t have a history of violence or inflammable temper.
Reps for the actress would not confirm the report, but TMZ claims to have it on very good authority that the arrest did happen, citing sources within the police for it.
Apparently, Emma and Evan were in their hotel room when things took a turn for the violent, as their verbal argument escalated. When cops arrived, they saw that he was bleeding from the nose and immediately proceeded to arrest her.
“22-year-old Emma […] was taken into custody early July 7 in Montreal after getting in an altercation with Peters, who stars in ‘American Horror Story’,” TMZ says.
“According to Montreal law enforcement sources, someone called police to report a fight in Evan and Emma's hotel room. We're told when cops arrived, they observed Evan with a bloody nose. Emma was immediately arrested,” says the report.
“One law enforcement source tells us Evan also had a bite mark. Emma was released hours later because 26-year-old Evan did not want to press charges,” TMZ adds.
Other insiders, this time from camp Roberts, say that the violence wasn’t one-sided and that both hit the other in the argument. Cops only arrested Emma because Evan alone had any physical injuries.
Sources close to the actress deny she bit Evan.
TMZ also says that the two have already moved on from this incident and are still a couple.
