Video game developer Beachhead and publisher Activision Blizzard have announced that the Career page in the Elite service will be opened up and filled with stats from Call of Duty: Black Ops later during the week.

The beta stage for the Call of Duty: Elite service has ended and the Connect, Compete and the Improve sections of the client are now closed as the two companies are getting ready for the official launch of Elite, which will come on the same day as that for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Beachhead also reminds all players who have taken part in the beta stage that their activity will carry to the full launch.

The new Elite service for the Call of Duty franchise is designed to enhance the experience that long term fans have with the multiplayer side of the game.

It allows them to see a lot of game data and request analysis from experts, to become part of a clan and then level it up through gameplay, to record and share video of their exploits.

All players can experience Elite for free but those who are willing to pay a monthly subscription will get free access to all the downlodable content that is launched for the game and will get exclusive access to a number of other media products.

It's not clear how many Call of Duty fans will be interested in paying every month in order to get extra content or whether they will be content with playing the multiplayer modes of the game as they have did until now and only use the free features of Elite.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be launched on November 8 all over the world and will be playable on the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360 and the PC, with versions for other platforms planned for later.
