He’s already been named the “favorite movie vampire of all times,” but, on another occasion, he was outdone by Brad Pitt’s Louis; in anticipation of Halloween, Edward Cullen has been named the most gorgeous vampire ever.

In a new poll comprised by Glamour magazine, the UK edition, the “Twilight” franchise is featured heavily: but it’s Edward Cullen that leads the pack, being the hottest and most loved modern bloodsucker.

As the magazine points out, with his role as the always-brooding but still menacing Edward, “Robert Pattinson has brought new meaning to the term ‘pale and interesting’.”

“Like all vampires, Edward has a taste for blood, but that’s all too easy to forget when you look at his ripped torso and intense eyes. A thing of beauty…” the mag writes.

It’s not for nothing then that he’s adored by millions of fans from all over the world – they may be mostly female, but they’re not just teens, since moms also seem to have the hots for him.

At number two lands Damon Salvatore of “The Vampire Diaries” (played by Ian Somerhalder), the so-bad-it’s-good blue-eyed vamp, brother of “all-American hero” Stefan.

Number three is one of the first vampires to cause hysteria in a television series: Angel (David Boreanaz) of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and the later spin-off he got all for himself, “Angel.”

“Buffy may have been a Vampire Slayer but that didn’t stop her from falling in love with a few of them. David Boreanaz’s Angel was her true love, and who could blame the girl? Brooding, chiseled, the body of a god and forever in torment,” Glamour says, before concluding Angel made vampires hot, “end of.”

Emmett Cullen (Kellan Lutz) of “Twilight” lands in at number 4. Unlike the previous 3 vamps, Emmett doesn’t brood or spend too much time tormenting himself – but he does have an insanely fit body, which earns him a spot among the first 5 hottest vampires ever.

Plus, he has a wicked sense of humor and is extremely endearing, Glamour says. He also comes across as very reliable, so he deserves to be featured in the chart.

Number five is the original gorgeous vampire, Louis of “Interview with the Vampire,” played by Brad Pitt.

“Possibly THE hottest look for Brad Pitt ever, Louis plays sidekick to Lestat for as long as he can take it, but his soul is not cut out for vampirism. Frankly with that long hair and kinky vampire get-up we’re not massively bothered about his soul...” Glamour says.
