Computer maker Dell was set to deliver its first mobile phone running under Microsoft's brand new Windows Phone 7 operating system, the Dell Venue Pro, starting with December 14th, but things were pushed back a little, and early adopters of this device are not yet able to enjoy it. However, it seems that Dell is already ready to ship these units, and that those who ordered the mobile phone before December 14th would receive it before Christmas.

“Here's what I can say re: Dell Venue Pro shipping: all customers who ordered the phone through Tuesday, December 14 or before will receive their phones before Christmas,”Dell's Lionel Menchaca notes in a post on the company's blog.

Previously, Dell said that it would plan on shipping the first Dell Venue Pro devices starting with Friday. Apparently, the company would be able to deliver the handset as soon as next week.

Moreover, there are some other goodies in store for those who ordered the Dell Venue Pro before December 14th too:

- Free overnight shipping upgrade for all orders placed up through Tuesday, December 14.

- A free Plantronics Explorer 240 Bluetooth headset for all customers who ordered the Venue Pro through Tuesday, December 14. Dell will ship the headset to the address you used when you ordered the Venue Pro in 4 - 6 weeks.

According to the aforementioned post, those units ordered after December 14th are expected to ship earlier than originally previsioned, though no specific date for when that would happen was provided for the time being.

Hopefully, Dell would be able to keep its promise this time, and those early adopters of the company's first Windows phone 7 device would have one reason more to be happy this Christmas.

What still remains to be seen is whether the company would detail the exact issues that drove it to delay the initial shipping date for the Dell Venus Pro. Stay tuned for more.
