We reported a few days ago that NVIDIA’s own branded 7-inch slate was making its way to the UK under the name Advent Vega Tegra Note and will be available starting November 15.

Now the same slate has been announced in the US, under a different moniker. The device is now officially available for pre-order via Newegg for $199 / €149 a pop. Shipments are expected to start, November 19.

The slate offered by Newegg is called the EVGA Tegra Note. Other re-branded versions released by third-party partners like Zotac, PNY and HP will pop out soon enough.

The NVIDIA slate is a real nifty tablet to have around, as it has been showcased in two recent videos detailing its capabilities. It features a 7-inch screen with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, which doesn't sound too impressive, but wait until you hear what’s on the inside. NVIDIA has added a 72-core GeForce graphics chip plus a quad-core-A15 processor to fuel everything.

Build for gaming, the slate will come offering support for the GameStream technology, which allows for a smooth game play. This extra addition will prove especially handy since the EVGA offers access to the TegraZone gaming paradise.

The tablet is best used in concert with a smart stylus that takes advantage of the DirectStylus technology and is definitely something to watch out for in the holiday season.
