Lady Gaga is well known for her dramatic performances and she certainly didn't disappoint at last night's MTV Europe Music Awards 2011. For the occasion, she prepared a show-stopping take on “Marry the Night.”

Her fans must already know that, for her live shows, Gaga prefers large, apparently impossible to work with set pieces, which can be either platforms on which to dance or pianos and other musical instruments.

For the EMAs 2011, she chose the Moon. Sitting on top of it, Gaga sang for a full minute or so with her face covered by her huge hat, while not even one dancer was seen on the stage.

However, by the end of the song, Mother Monster had come down to Earth again, ditched the hat and part of her dress / stage costume, and joined the dancers in the routine in hotpatns and a tiny top.

Gaga was also the big winner of the night, scooping awards for Best Female, Best Song, Best Video, and Biggest Fans.
