14 DAY TRIAL // Adam Lambert has long said that one of his biggest musical influences is Queen and, last night at the MTV European Music Awards 2011, he proved just how much he looked up to the legendary band – by putting on a killer performance.
Introduced by host Selena Gomez, Queen took the stage after winning, earlier in the night, the Global Icon award.
With them was Adam Lamber, former American Idol contestant and one of the best selling artists to break through in recent years.
Together, they performed a medley of 3 classic songs from Queen, but with a twist that made them truly Adam's: “The Show Must Go On,” “We Will Rock You” and “We Are the Champions.”
Dressed in leather from head to foot and looking as gorgeous as ever, Adam proved, once more, that he's not a cheap imitator or a singer you can put in a box and be done: he didn't just cover the songs, but literally made them his by putting his own spin to them.
