Video game publisher Electronic Arts and the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have announced that they have entered into a partnership for the next three years, making the FIFA series the official video game partner for the Premier League club.

Matt Bilbey, the senior vice president and general manager of Football at EA Sports, reports, “We are extremely excited to join a world class football club like Tottenham Hotspur as an Official Club Partner. This is an opportunity for us to create a deeper connection with their passionate, global fan base, and use our game as a platform to engage Spurs supporters all season long.”

Daniel Levy, the chairman at Tottenham Hotspur, adds, “Over the course of the past few years we've seen the international profile of the Club rise significantly, especially across key markets in Asia and North America. We are delighted to have the opportunity to partner with EA SPORTS, one of the world's leading entertainment brands, and provide them with the opportunity to reach our global fan base.”

During the United States visit that Tottenham Hotspur will conduct in the coming two weeks, the players will undergo 3D head scans at the Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Station, allowing the development team working on FIFA to get player models that will be used in future version of the game.

EA Sports and Tottenham Hotspur will create a number of programs designed to entertain fans to the home ground of the team, White Hart Line, and via their media channels.

The initiatives include exclusive videos with Tottenham Hotspur players, a program designed to predict match scores using the FIFA 13 engine and exclusive footage from the Training Center.

FIFA 13 will also get an exclusive game package featuring the team, which will be available on the game’s website.
