NBA Street Homecourt Announced

Things are looking good for the ones who love basketball but hate being bound by NBA rigid regulations and rules. Looks like EA has decided to release yet another installment in the NBA street series.

This new game will be called NBA Street Homecourt and marks the 4th chapter of the streetball series from EA. The 3-on-3 basketball game is currently under development and an official release date was not yet announced. What's certain is that it will be developed by EA Canada, so courts from what town will be present in the game? I hope we won't trip over any Canadian bacon while shooting hoops and that we won't get a chance to experience Vancouver streetball.

EA is making a big fuss about a particular feature of the game, namely the 360 degrees view. Sounds good, but we'll have to wait and see how good it will be as we will earn respect on the court. The game will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.

The first game in the streetball series from EA - called simply NBA Street - was released back in 2001 for the PlayStation 2 and was ported one year later on the GameCube. The streetball games differ from the official NBA games, as players are required to do anything possible to score first 21 points to win the game.
