Irrational Games' creative director and BioShock creator Ken Levine took the stage during the Sony E3 2011 press conference and confirmed quite a lot of goodies that are coming for PlayStation fans.

2K Games' BioShock franchise is getting ready to receive its third installment, in the form of BioShock Infinite which is set to appear at the beginning of 2012.

Until then, however, the creator of the BioShock universe, Ken Levine, made some special announcements together with Sony during the E3 2011 conference.

First up, BioShock Infinite will feature integration for the PlayStation Move motion detection peripheral, meaning players can not only play it with the traditional DualShock 3 PlayStation 3 controller, but also with the new system.

What's more, Levine also confirmed to the PlayStation fans that each copy of BioShock Infinite for the PS3 will have a bonus copy of the original BioShock game included within. This move should more than make up for the fact that the first game was one year late to the PS3, after appearing for the PC or Xbox 360.

Levine also confirmed that the upcoming PlayStation Vita (formerly known as the PSP 2 or Next Generation Portable) will see the release of a special BioShock game, in the future, but that the project is still in its early stages of development, so potential Vita owners are going to have to wait it out before they can experience such a game on the new portable device.

Levine promised that more details about the PlayStation Move integration will also be released at a later time, so we still don't know for sure how BioShock Infinite is going to use the motion controls.

The creative director of Irrational Games talked about this issue a few months ago, when he proclaimed that motion controls should be implemented only if they make sense or enrich the experience, so we can expect Infinite to make use of the Move only during certain moments.
