More obscure companies will also be showing their designs during the show

If you think CES 2014 is a platform only for big brand vendors to show off their latest designs, you couldn't be farther from the truth.

Budget tablet makers are also given the opportunity to put some of their latest products on display, in an attempt to draw eyes away from the established brands.

According to AndroidGuy, E FUN will be launching two new quad-core Nextbook tablet models at CES 2014 next week, the Nextbook 8 and 10.

The California-based company offers basic specs here, with the smaller model packing a 7.85-inch screen plus a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and drawing power from a 1.6GHz quad-core Cortex A9 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.

Even though the Nextbook 10 features a larger display, the model has just 1024 x 600 pixel resolution and the same power-house.

If you were hoping to get Android 4.4 KitKat, you’ll be disappointed and I recommend you to check out Polaroid’s budget offerings instead, as the slates run Android 4.2 out of the box.

The E FUN Nextbook 8 with 8GB of internal storage will retail for $129.99 / €95 while the larger slate comes with 16GB and will be priced at $149.99 / €110.

Rumor has it that, at CES 2014, we will also see a 7-inch Nextbook version which will come with a super affordable $99 / €73 price tag.
