Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers have quite a good three months to look ahead to as, not only will the holiday season present them with a ton of titles spanning all genres, but the gaming frenzy will continue to the beginning of 2008, February to be precise, when one of the best tactical-action game is released: Dynasty Warriors 6, the latest installment in KOEI's popular franchise.

"Dynasty Warriors 6 will deliver the massive scale battles that gamers have come to expect from the series, and will push the envelope of Tactical Action. Our goal is to redefine the Dynasty Warriors series," said Amos Ip, Senior Vice President at KOEI Corporation. "We've created more immersive environments where players can use the features of the battlefield to their advantage, larger armies with a presence and strategy befitting their superior numbers, and re-imagined characters with the most authentic kung-fu showcased in a way only KOEI can deliver. This is truly the next great chapter in the Dynasty Warriors saga."

Dynasty Warriors 6 is set in Ancient China during the 3rd century. Gamers are plunged in a cinematic kung-fu action experience with completely re-imagined characters equipped with new weapons and fighting techniques, some even motion-captured from today's leading stuntmen and women in Asia. The developers also mention this new Renbu attack system and controls which players will be using to execute "lightning-fast combos and the most dazzling fighting moves with ease," while a friend can also join in on the action (1 or 2 players support).

As far as visuals go, everything mentioned above comes in high definition format, 720p, 60 frames per second and in-game DolbyDigital audio. Dynasty Warriors 6 launches across North America beginning February 19th, 2008 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The game hasn't been rated yet and there's plenty more stuff that KOEI needs to disclose about it so rest assured, we'll be hearing more of Dynasty Warriors 6 soon.
